Thornhill Multisport is getting ready to launch its 11th season with an assortment of programs to suit all who are interested. Here is a breakdown of what is available for the upcoming season.
THORNHILL WINTER TRIATHLON SWIM PROGRAM NEW
Starting on October 6, 2014 THOR will be offering, for the first time ever, a full program dedicated to helping members gain the skills required for swimming in triathlons and open water swimming. This program will be offered on Tuesday and Thursday evening at Thornlea Pool, and Sunday morning at the North Thornhill Community Center. Members participating in this program will work with THOR's triathlon coach Steve Pilusso.
EMERGING SWIMMER PROGRAM
Coming into its 2nd season, The Emerging Swimmer Program allows those who are looking to learn the basics of siwmming before joing THOR's other programs. Sessions are 12 weeks in length, and include basic stroke development, and endurance work to prepare course granudates to move onto other aspects of the club. Whether you are a budding triathlete who needs to learn how to siwm, or are interested in joining THOR's swim program for fitness or competition, this program will help you get there. Past participants can now be seen competing in swim meets, triathlons and open water swims of all level. Coach and Instruactor Andrien Ho will work with you to get where you want to go. A great way to start!
THORNHILL MASTERS AQUATIC CLUB
The program that started it all. Now in its 11th season, Thornhill Masters has developed into one of the top masters programs in Canada. With members competing at the local, national and world level, THOR continues to grow every year. Under the watchful eyes of head coach Ian Feldman, members can swim up to 5 workouts per week, and work on everything from stroke improvement to endurance to sprinting. Whether you are interested in competing or want to siwm to keep fit, there is a place for you on our club.
