It is with great pleasure that Thornhill Multisport announces the launch of the 2012 Summer Triathlon Season to start on Wednesday May 2, 2012.
Now in its 3rd 3rd season, the Thornhill Triathlon Club has made a number of changes to the program , with the emphasis being to give our members a full triathlon experience.
On the workout front, there are 2 major improvements to the program.
1. Our Tuesday workout is changing from a track run to a bike run session, allowing members the opportunity of having 2 rides a week, in addition to still running as a group on Tuesdays.
2. Starting in July, the Wednesday pool swim will be a triathletes only swim. In the past this workout has been combined with the Thornhill Masters Aquatic Club. By making this change, the focus will be on endurance swimming, and stroke improvements as required for open water swimming.
On the competition front, we have added the Toronto Festival Triathlon and the Mt Tremblant Ironman as club events, giving the club a well rounded competition schedule ranging from sprint Triathlons all the way up to the Ironman distance.

New to the club meet lineup is the THORNHILL MASTERS SPRING INVITATIONAL swim meet on on May 6, 2012. We are very excited to be taking on this huge endaevour and expect all members to either be involved at the organizational level prior to the meet, volunteering the day of the meet, or helping out after the meet.
