On March 8, 2009 the Thornhill Masters Aquatic club competed in the Milton Masters Spring Splash in Milton Ontario.  For many of the swimmers this meet was a warm up to the Provincial swim meet coming up on March 20 – 22 in Ottawa. 

Out of 13 Thornhill swimmers attending the meet, 10 posted top 3 placings, a tremendous improvement from previous years.

First place finishers included, Valarie Westernacher, with 5 top finishes in the womens 60 – 64 age catagory, Rob Schmidt with 2 first place finishes in the men’s 35 – 39 age group,Issac Capua with 2 first place finishes in the men’s 18 – 24 age group, Tracey McKenna with 2 first place finished in the womens 18 – 24 age group and Michael Paddags with 1 first in the men’s   30 -34 category.

This is an annual event for the Thornhill Masters, who had their best placings ever in the 5 years of attending this meet. Congraulations to all.
